Predator-prey model

One of the most famous models in ecology is probably the Lotka-Volterra predator-prey model. Below, prey (orange) can grow in available spots (black), and predators (red) can grow by replacing a nearbly prey. The dynamics are similar, yet not identitcal, to the dampened oscillations known from Lotka-Volterra equations.
